DAT Led Team Awarded $20 Million GSA BPA

Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for further development and maintenance of the “One GSA” Enterprise Architecture awarded to prime contractor Data Access Technologies and its partners: Booz|Allen|Hamilton, Ciber and OmniSolve.

Vienna, VA, 3 February 2006 - Data Access Technologies, Inc. (DAT), a leading provider of Enterprise Architecture focused consulting services and tools, has been awarded a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to assist the General Services Administration (GSA) continue development and maintenance of its Enterprise Architecture (EA) known as “One GSA”.  The BPA consists of one base year and four annual optional renewal years with a value up to $20 million.  GSA will issue individual task orders under the BPA for specific EA projects.

DAT has been working with the Office of the CIO, its Chief Technology Officer and Chief Architect for the past two years to develop the One GSA Enterprise Architecture. In its efforts to extend this architecture across all of GSA, the agency issued a comprehensive Request for Quote (RFQ) to cover GSA Enterprise Architecture activities and procurements for the next five years.  This award is a result of the DAT Team’s response to that RFQ.

DAT has just completed a major EA project that builds upon the One GSA EA.  “We have taken the base EA detailed in One GSA and built upon that base for the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO).  This ‘drill down’ details precise specifications for the GSA Finance ‘to-be’ architecture and the path required to get there.  The OCFO project provides the model for detailing each line of business and service area within GSA moving forward”, said Ed Seidewitz, Vice President, Model Driven Architecture Services for DAT.

“This award will allow us to bring all the pieces together for GSA” said Cory Casanave, President and CEO of DAT.  “Our current work in the development of the ‘Open Source eGovernment Reference Architecture’ (OsEra) for GSA will likewise contribute to GSA’s overall successful EA work and will help GSA retain its ‘Green’ EA status with OMB”, continued Mr. Casanave.

DAT has put together a powerful team of highly experienced organizations to respond to GSA needs. The team consists of Booz|Allen|Hamilton, Inc., CIBER, Inc., and OmniSolve, Inc. Each of the partners, combined with DAT's methodology, tooling and expertise, provide GSA a complete Enterprise Architecture solution across all of GSA's lines-of-business and service offices.
