DAT Led Team Awarded First Tasking under GSA Five Year BPA

GSA awards initial tasking under recently awarded Banket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for further development and maintenance of the “One GSA” Enterprise Architecture to prime contractor Data Access Technologies and its partners: Booz|Allen|Hamilton, Ciber and OmniSolve.

Vienna, VA, 17 February 2006 - Data Access Technologies, Inc. (DAT), a leading provider of Service Oriented (SOA) and Enterprise Architecture focused consulting services and tools, has been awarded initial tasking under the Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) it won earlier this month to assist the General Services Administration (GSA) to continue development and maintenance of its Enterprise Architecture (EA) known as “One GSA”. 

DAT has been working with the OCIO, its Chief Technology Officer and Chief Architect for the past two years to develop the One GSA Enterprise Architecture. In its efforts to extend this architecture across all of GSA, the agency issued a comprehensive Request for Quote (RFQ) to cover GSA Enterprise Architecture activities and procurements for the next five years.  This award is the first result of the DAT Team’s response to that original RFQ.

This initial Task Order was detailed in the original BPA RFQ as one of four "Sample Tasks". It is to build out a detailed EA for GSA-wide Contract Writing. This Task will use the same DAT-developed methodology and tools as the recently completed Financial Management EA build-out, and will integrate with it. "GSA has found DAT's methodology and approach to building out detailed Enterprise Architectures very beneficial in that it provides a strong communication mechanism between GSA Technical and Business personnel. One GSA provides the overall umbrella under which each of these business disciplines interoperate", said Ed Seidewitz, Vice President, Model Driven Architecture Services for DAT.
