DAT Led Team Awarded Additional Tasking under GSA Five Year BPA

GSA awards additional tasking for the development of a comprehensive Integrated IT Portfolio Management (IITPM) process under recently awarded Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to prime contractor Data Access Technologies and its partners: Booz|Allen|Hamilton and OmniSolve.

Vienna, VA, 21 July 2006 - Data Access Technologies, Inc. (DAT), a leading provider of Service Oriented (SOA) and Enterprise Architecture focused consulting services and tools, has been awarded additional tasking under the Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) it won earlier this year to assist the General Services Administration (GSA) to continue development and maintenance of its Enterprise Architecture (EA) known as “One GSA”.

DAT has been working with the OCIO, its Chief Technology Officer and Chief Architect for the past two years to develop the One GSA Enterprise Architecture. In its efforts to extend this architecture across all of GSA, the agency is issuing a series of Request for Quotes (RFQs) to cover GSA Enterprise Architecture activities and procurements for the next five years.  This award is the second awarded by GSA, both to the DAT Team.

This Task Order is to build out a detailed process that firmly links GSA's Enterprise Architecture with an Integrated Information Technology Portfolio Management process. This Task combines the strong IT Portfolio Management expertise of partner Booz Allen with DAT's Enterprise Architecture methodology and tools to provide a comprehensive and EA integrated IT Portfolio Management process. "This second award under the five year BPA further confirms GSA's strong acceptance of the DAT EA methodology and approach. It also recognizes the need to firmly link EA with IT Portfolio Management.", said Ed Seidewitz, Vice President, Model Driven Architecture Services for DAT.

“Again, GSA has expressed its confidence in the team that we have carefully assembled,” said Cory Casanave, President and CEO of DAT.  “We are still very early in the life of this BPA and the DAT Team is showing its capabilities and depth, adding IT Portfolio Management to its strong EA capabilities. Having partners like Booz Allen and OmniSolve allow us to meet all facets of GSA's IT management need”, continued Mr. Casanave.

DAT has put together a powerful team of highly experienced organizations to respond to GSA needs. For this specific project, the team consists of Booz|Allen|Hamilton, Inc. and OmniSolve, Inc. Each of the partners, combined with DAT's methodology, tooling and expertise, provide GSA a complete Enterprise Architecture and Portfolio Management solution across all of GSA's lines-of-business and service offices.

Booz Allen

Booz Allen is at the market forefront, providing strategic EA support services to clients such as the U.S. Departments of Education, State, Energy, Housing & Urban Development, Office of Personnel Management and many parts of Defense. Their experience has positioned them to understand risks and obstacles to the success of EA, and allows them to draw lessons, examples and value from agencies similar to GSA, GSA itself, and from commercial shared service organizations that innovatively address similar challenges. Booz Allen has been intimately involved in the creation of the Federal Enterprise Architecture, adding another facet to the strength they bring to the DAT team.

OmniSolve

OmniSolve applies their extensive knowledge in software development and implementation of large, complex, mission-critical systems to develop intuitive, conforming and innovative solutions for customers.
